Three Chinese Cities on Top 10 Global Financial Centers

Hong Kong and Singapore lead five Asian cities that appear in the City of London Corporation's Global Financial Centres index of competitive cities. The other three are the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen.

China Starts Accepting GEM (Growth Enterprise Markets) Applications

China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), the country's securities regulator, began accepting listing applications for the growth enterprise market (GEM) on Sunday. A total of 108 enterprises filed applications on Sunday, much more than the regulator's previous expectation of 50 to 100 companies.
